edited. Because these kephalaia were presented in the context of
Muyldermans's studies on the Capita cognoscitiva (CPG 2433), and because
they did not feature in the KG supplements, they have been overlooked by

the Armenian KG Supplement (nos. 13-22) and Armenian letter 24. The title is
identical to Disciples 191, and kephalaia nos. 1, 5, 6, and 7 correspond to
Disciples 192, 220, 221, and 222 in the Greek. But the independent
manuscript witness suggests that this was a small work in its own right, and
that compiler of Disciples selectively drew from it.</li>

Quarterly 2020 editions were not created because major upgrades were being developed
for the <em>Guide</em>. Starting with this issue, the <em>Guide</em> moves to an
annual publication cycle, with new issues arriving in late December. </p>

<p>The contact form has been simplified to human-readable email address.</p>
<p>The checklist of writings has been streamlined in appearance, and easier access has
been provided for transcriptions and parallel editions. The parallel editions now
come in two types, one for enhanced searching and the other for enhanced reading. The
search-enhanced editions prioritize word joins to allow for easier browser-based
research. The reading-enhanced editions provide more styling of the sources, and when
versions in the same group are quite close, they are combined in a synthetic reading that
shows precisely where the versions diverge, and statistics behind the immediate difference.
            </p>
<p>Reading editions have more option controls over visualization. When based on a TAN-A
file that includes claims about quotations, the relevant extracts from the quoted
texts are also provided. Vocabulary for types of text reuse (quoting, referring,
alluding, paraphrasing, etc.) are explained. </p>
<p>Much of the new functionality is based upon tools in the Text Alignment Network,
               version 2020, development branch.</p>

<p>The winter 2019 edition of the <em>Guide to Evagrius Ponticus</em> is now available.
Summer and autumn 2019 editions were not created because major work was being
performed, upgrading features of the <em>Guide</em>.</p>
            <p>The <a href="corpus.htm">checklist of writings</a> has been completely overhauled
with a new transformation algorithm. Most importantly, the checklist of editions,
translations, transcriptions, etc. has been moved from the Zotero database to a TAN-A
file, which allows for RDF-like assertions with great precision. I am not very happy
with the state of the XSLT that does the transformation, because nearly every
template feels like a hack. But in the interest of getting out a new version of the
<em>Guide</em>, I have decided to let it stand, warts and all. For the first time,
now, users will be able to find easily transcriptions from manuscripts, previously on
the site but not integrated into the checklist. So far, only CPG 2430 and CPG 2431
(Praktikos and Gnostikos) have entries that exhibit the kind of accuracy I'd like to
see across the entire publication. </p>
<p>The <a href="bibliography.htm">bibliography</a> now has a tag urn for every entry,
logged in the field labeled "extra". This makes it possible to use the Zotero
database in conjunction with the TAN library, so that assertions made in the TAN
files can be linked to more complete metadata.</p>

<p>The winter 2016 edition of the <em>Guide to Evagrius Ponticus</em> is now available.</p>
<p>This edition constitutes a major update to the bibliography and corpus pages and the
way they are populated. The data for the corpus is now housed primarily in a TAN-c
file (part of a new format of XML files; see <a href="http://textalign.net/"
                  >http://textalign.net/</a>) and partly in the Zotero database, which is the
primary source for the bibliography. Exhibit, the javascript library that undergirded
the corpus and bibliography, has been replaced by Tablesorter, written by Christian
Bach and updated by Rob Garrison (<a href="https://github.com/Mottie/tablesorter"
                  >https://github.com/Mottie/tablesorter</a>). Between the data and the javascript
library rests several custom-written XSLT files that transform the TAN-c and
Zotero.rdf into the html tables that populate the now-static website. </p>
<p>The advantage to this approach is that all editions of the <i>Guide</i> are now
archivable by <a href="http://archive.org">archive.org</a>. The two pages slightly
smaller and more responsive, generally. They are cleaner and more book-like. </p>
<p>Along with the data overhaul has come a revision of the CSS, which is now designed to
be adequate for both small and large screens.</p>
            <p>Other revisions include the following:</p>
            <ul>
               <li><em>Bibliography</em>: 1 item added, 31 additional items updated.</li>
            </ul>

suitable for naming the abstract concept of the works of Evagrius, and may be used
